Topaz Hop Pellets – Intense Bitterness and Complex Aroma
Topaz hop pellets are an Australian hybrid primarily bred for bittering, but highly valued for its unique aromatic profile. Around the turn of the millennium, craft brewers began using it for its complex bouquet of herbs, spices, and resinous notes, with tropical hints during dry hopping.
With alpha acids ranging from 13.7% to 17.7%, Topaz delivers high, smooth bitterness, ideal for IPA, Pale Ale, and dark Ales. Its versatility makes it suitable for both bittering and aroma, and it can be substituted with Summit or Rakau if needed.
