Citra Hop Pellets – Dual-Purpose for Aroma and Bittering
Citra hop pellets are one of the most popular and versatile hops, cultivated from a cross of varieties including East Kent Golding and Tettnang in the USA. With high alpha acids and essential oils, Citra is perfect as a dual-purpose hop for both bittering and aroma, making it ideal for IPA, Pale Ale, and other hoppy styles.
Its aromatic profile features notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, and tropical fruits, creating a unique and intense bouquet. With alpha acids ranging from 11% to 13%, Citra provides clean bitterness during the boil and persistent aroma in dry hopping. It can be substituted with Centennial, Cascade, or Chinook.
