Galena Hop Pellets – High Bittering with Aromatic Notes
Galena hop pellets are an American variety developed from a cross with Brewer's Gold. With alpha acids ranging from 11% to 14%, it is one of the most commonly used bittering hops in the U.S., providing clean and intense bitterness.
In addition to bittering, Galena contributes delicate aromatic notes of citrus, spice, and blackcurrant, making it ideal for IPA, Stouts, Brown Ales, and Pale Ale. This variety is generally widely available, and can be substituted with Columbus, CTZ, or Brewer's Gold if needed.
