Wine yeast for full-bodied, long-aging red wines with high alcohol potential.

Premium® Supertuscan is a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain selected in the hills of Tuscany (Siena), ideal for the fermentation of structured red wines, destined for barrel aging and malolactic fermentation (MLF).

This yeast enhances alcoholic strength, improves tannin integration, and brings out an elegant fruity aroma. It shows excellent performance in high-stress fermentations, and is also compatible with early co-inoculation, making it an ideal choice for high-end wines based on Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other noble red grapes.

Part of the Vason Collection, a research project focused on enhancing autochthonous Italian yeasts, this strain was developed through rigorous selection, drying, and fermentation trials by the VASONGROUP R&D division, in collaboration with leading research institutes.
