Whirlpool

Whirlpool

The Whirlpool Homebrewing. The Whirlpool is a common method used by breweries to separate the hops (usually in pellet) from the wort after the boil. In essence, the must is run with speed up to create a reel that leave residues of hops to the center of the boiling vat. The Homebrewers can use the whirlpool in the process of brewing. With a shovel or a fairly big dipper it turns strongly the must in one direction up to see a reel, expect 10-15 minutes and slowly we take the must from the tap. In this way most of the hops will not end up in the fermenter for a better result in the finished beer. There is also a connector for Whirlpool devised by Ss Brewtech to facilitate this work. http://www.pinta.it/it/216/accessori_ss_brewtech/2182/ss_brewtech_raccordo_per_whirlpool_1_2.html
