The Hanna Instruments HI98107 pHep® pocket pH meter is a robust and accurate instrument ideal for both laboratory and field use. This new pH meter has a thickness of less than 2 cm and is extremely ergonomic, comfortable to hold in the hand. The instrument is simple to use and has only 2 buttons: one for switching on and off; the other for calibration.
The HI98107 pH meter has a large multi-level display that simultaneously displays both pH and temperature measurements. The pH measurements are displayed with 0.1 pH resolution and accuracy of ± 0.1 pH. The pH range of the HI98107 meter is 0.0 to 14.0 pH. An internal temperature sensor allows you to automatically and quickly compensate the measurements based on the temperature. The temperature can be displayed in ℃ or ℉. The display shows stability indicators and calibration tags. The battery charge percentage is displayed when the instrument is turned on.
The pH electrode is equipped with a single reference cell that uses a removable fiber junction. The occlusion of the junction can cause irregular measurements that take longer to stabilize. Renewing the junction will extend the life of the pH electrode.
Calibration is performed by pressing the calibration button. In calibration mode, the electrode can be calibrated at 1 or 2 points using the stored standard solutions (pH 4.01, 7.01,10.01). When the value of the standard solution is recognized and the stability reached, the instrument automatically accepts and stores the calibration standard value.
Setup options include choice of temperature unit and automatic shutdown, selectable from 8 minutes, 60 minutes or off. To access the setup mode, just press a button located in the battery compartment.
