The Strisselspault hops come from France, from the Stasbourg region. Strisselspault contains low and balanced levels of both alpha and beta acids in the range of 3% to 5%, and is generally used only for its aromatic characteristics. The combination of aromatic herbs, flowers and notes of fruit and lemon makes Strisselspault a perfect hops for Saisons, Bocks and Belgian Ales. Similar varieties such as Mt Hood, Crystal and Hersbrucker can be used as a replacement for the Strisselspault, since it is not generally easy to find.
