Peracid is a sanitizing liquid, non-foaming consists balanced fractions of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. This preparation eliminates the risk of contamination and the formation of resistant strains. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative, has high activity against yeasts and molds.
It is an oxidizing compound, at pH weakly acid manifests extensive sanitizing activity also against spores.
The dosages are comprised between 0.2 and 1% with contact times between 5 and 30 minutes, at room temperature. Peracid is not corrosive towards stainless steel, aluminum and can be used on tinned steel, epoxy resins and plastics.
